So, I am experimenting with a new way to present recipes, that I think is more efficient and reduces the chance of error in cooking order or forgotten ingredients or prep. I used the model of a gantt chart in project planning as well as a countdown style timeline. So, you work from top to bottom and left to right. The arrows in the chart show how ingredients are combined in cooking to form the dish. I would appreciate comments as this format will be the basis for an ongoing meal planning system I have in the works.
The recipe below is for a Thai Cilantro Rice (at least they claim it is Thai). For my friends who don't like cilantro, you can substitute fresh basil in its place for a tasty variation. Items which can be substituted are in red in the ingredients list.
